Brittany Scurto is a board-certified Physician Assistant who specializes in Medical, Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatology as well as Integrative Medicine. She graduated from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science with a Master’s Degree in 2006. Prior to specializing in Dermatology in 2015, Brittany practiced in a number of different medical fields including Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Surgery and Urgent Care. Her passion lies in treating the whole person and she strives to help her patients understand their medical conditions and improve their well-being through partnership and education. Brittany’s goal is to assure that her patients are not only healthy on the inside, but confident about their outside as well.
Brittany loves teaching and has taught on various medical topics during her career. She has been routinely recruited for speaking engagements virtually, in the clinic and at the podium. She has also acted as a preceptor for pre-PA, PA and medical students. She is the founder and creator of the Skintegrative Series which is published and accessible for the education of providers and patients alike.
Brittany is currently the Medical Language chair and Integrative Medicine co-chair of Diversity in Dermatology. She has certifications in Food as Medicine and Dermatology: Clinical and Integrative Essentials. She is fluent in conversational and medical Spanish and her language skills have been utilized for patient care, medical work abroad, translation of medical documents and teaching Medical Spanish to her peers and colleagues.
In her free time, Brittany is the lead singer in a local band, enjoys quality time with her kids, friends and family, donates her time/resources to various non-profit organizations and loves to travel.
